Amanda is enjoying being a mom to her beautiful daughter, Addelyn June, and is full of life. On December 22, 2014, after being admitted into the hospital, she learned that she was battling stage IV brain cancer-Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM). With the support of her family and friends, she took the first step in her battle and had the tumor successfully removed on December 26, 2014. Amanda then started on her treatment plan in January 2015, which involved radiation and chemotherapy.
Amanda and her husband, Josh, are determined to not allow this cancer or any statistics to darken their expectations of the future. They have focused their fight to not only survive this cancer, but to find peace in the understanding that even in these times God is in complete control. ”She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
