I was born and raised in Virginia, but have spent most of my adult years in Houston. I was diagnosed with GBM in November 2010. While it was shocking news, I charged into this journey with a positive attitude and lots of humor. Surgical resection, radiation and chemotherapy have left me with some disabilities, but has not waved my positive attitude or sense of humor. I am thankful for the doctors and nurses, but mostly thankful for my FAITH which played a big part in my healing.

I’ll close with one of my favorite quotes from Patrick Overton: “When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and take the step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for us to stand on or we will be taught to fly.” My motto is to never, ever give up and FLY!!!!!!
