On March 2, 2012, we were given the news that Cindy was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. We immediately started attacking this disease with chemo and radiation.
Throughout the entire journey, Cindy always had her infectious smile and laugh. She inspired so many people with the way she carried herself throughout the process.
On August 3, 2013, we were given the news that Cindy was terminal and there was nothing more that they could do. So we had that talk with Cindy, and I said, “you know honey, you’re not going to make it.” And she agreed that it was time to just plow through it, and that we would make it.
Not having her by our side has left a very huge hole. But today, we know that she has use of her arms, her legs, her voice, and that she is happy. We cannot wait to see her again.
Cindy may not have conquered her Glioblastoma in body, but she did in spirit.
