Robert Edward Coffin was born in Huntsville, AL on 08 December 1974. He lost his seven year battle against brain cancer on 11 April 2008 from an oligodendroglioma tumor. Although he moved between Florida and Texas growing up, he always considered Texas his home. As a kid, his great appreciation and love of nature was fostered by his many explorations of The Everglades. After graduating from Round Rock High School in 1993, he joined the Navy where he traveled to the Western Pacific, Mediterranean, Middle East, and Africa. As a Chaplain’s Assistant stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA and Camp Lejeune, NC, Rob touched the lives of thousands of fellow sailors and Marines. After three years of service, he returned home to Texas. His passion for the diversity of the world led him to achieve an International Business degree at Texas State University San Marcos. Rob loved to meet new people and share his experiences. He never judged others, and always found time for long conversations and new friendships. He also possessed a strong talent for sketching, focusing on architecture and people. Rob will always be remembered for his adventurous spirit, amazing sense of humor, kindness, and strong faith. Most importantly, he was an incredible husband, son, brother, and friend.
