Our journey began on November 10, 2010. Curtis was rushed to the Methodist Hospital with what was believed as a stroke. Six days later, a craniotomy was performed and on November 16, 2010, we were told it was not a stroke, it was a tumor called glioblastoma multiforme stage IV. He had two craniotomies, 34 radiation treatments after the 1st craniotomy, 15 additional radiation treatments after the 2nd craniotomy, and chemotherapy. He fought the battle with dignity, courage, and bravery. Curtis was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was a man of few words, but loved by all.
We would like to give special thanks to the Run for the Rose Foundation, Dr. Yvonne Kew, Freda Ekpa, Dr. Andrew Roeser, and Dr. Ben Teh. Without their dedication, determination, and knowledge, we would not be where we are today.
