Susie spent many years working in healthcare, serving patients in specialties from urology to endoscopy. She was known for her joyful spirit, tireless work ethic, and willingness to help anyone who needed it. Her kindness made it easy for her to connect with people everywhere she went, and she built lasting friendships throughout her life.
Outside of work, Susie devoted herself to her faith, family, and community. She volunteered often through church fundraisers and mission trips, always eager to serve others. She was also magnificent in the kitchen—especially known for her delicious homemade tamales, which she lovingly shared as holiday gifts with friends.
Long before her diagnosis, Susie was a passionate charity walk enthusiast who encouraged others to join her in supporting meaningful causes. Inspired by Dr. Marnie Rose’s story, she participated in many Run for the Rose events and supported the foundation years before her own diagnosis in October 2023 with two glioblastoma tumors.
In 2024, Susie participated in what would become her final Run for the Rose—walking with courage, faith, and determination.
Susie’s legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her compassion, generosity, and joyful spirit. We are proud to carry her legacy forward.
